International Roadmap for Devices and Systems – IEEE IRDS
We assist the processes and goals of the IEEE IRDSTM through active participation and contributions
The IRDS™ is a network of activities for predicting technological developments in the field of microelectronics and operates as a successor to the ITRS. The aim is to provide a clear framework to facilitate coordination between universities, manufacturers, suppliers and researchers in the development of electronic devices and systems.
The goals of the roadmap are
- Identify key trends in devices, systems and all related technologies by creating a roadmap with a 15-year time horizon.
- Identify needs, challenges, potential solutions and innovation opportunities for devices and systems.
- Promote related activities worldwide through joint events such as IEEE conferences and roadmap workshops.
